Coláiste Iascaigh

Our school is constantly evolving. The new school extension which includes: fully equipped science laboratory, preparation room, three additional modern classrooms and canteen area has enhanced our learning space. Our large grounds hosts a school garden and biodiversity space along with ample playing grounds for our students.

ICT Facilities

There is an excellent standard of ICT equipment around the school. Students have access to two computer rooms, 3 laptop trolleys and a number of tablets. All students have Microsoft 365 School accounts which allows them to work seamlessly between home and school.

Science Facilities

Our newly built science laboratory is kitted out with state of the art lab equipment. All our junior students have the opportunity to study Science and develop up to date lab techniques in this new space.

Outdoor Learning Space

Coláiste Iascaigh has developed an outdoor classroom/learning space which includes a polytunnel. Working in a natural environment helps students to improve their communication skills, learn to work as part of a team, links into their science studies and benefits their mental wellbeing.

Sports Facilities

PE classes, sports & other extra-curricular activities can take place outdoors on our extensive grounds or indoors in a large sports hall. Students are encouraged to join in the lunchtime sports activities and our after school activities.

Woodwork and Metalwork rooms

These fully equipped practical classrooms provide a space for students to work creatively and conquer new challenges.

Teaching & Learning Resources

Students in Coláiste Iascaigh have access to a digital library and a well-stocked reading room. Our creative students have the opportunity to develop their talents with the wide range of practical subjects we offer.

Technology for Teaching & Learning

The classrooms in Coláiste Iascaigh have high quality wireless data projectors, visualisers and integrated sound systems to allow for seamless integration with our teacher’s devices during a lesson.
