What a day!!! It’s not everyday you get to meet an Olympian in school. Today, our school welcomed Irish Olympian, Dean Clancy to the school. Dean spoke to our students about his journey to the Paris Olympics and the challenges along the way. It was so inspirational to hear Dean speak so openly about the hard work and dedication that it takes to achieve such success. It was equally motivational as he reminded our students that the sky is the limit once you put your mind to it. Our students were lucky enough to get a boxing lesson and learned some tips and tricks about the sport during a practical session. We are so grateful to Dean for taking the time out from his very busy schedule to come and meet us today. Also, a massive thank you to the ‘Dare to Believe’ Team for awarding us this visit. A fantastic day for our students and the school community.
