On Tuesday October 3rd our Junior hurlers took on Roscommon community school. The opening quarter was very tight encounter with both sides getting point for point scores to bring the score to 3 points each. With the help of a strong wind Roscommon tacked on a few lovely scores and against the strong efforts from a good Easkey side. At half time Roscommon had an eleven point lead. A rejuvenated Easkey side started the second half well, and with the help of a well taken goal by Ryan Harte we brought the scores back to 7 points. Roscommon pulled away again to finish with a score line of 2 – 16 to 2-6. Overall our lads did really well, with some excellent performances from our ty, 2nd and 3rd year lads. We are looking forward to our next encounter next week against Summerhill next week. A huge thank you to Christine Neary for all her planning and coordination in the lead up to todays match and for taking the lead on our school hurling this year.
